Carter & Vale believes that a law firm’s responsibilities extend beyond the clients it serves. We seek to contribute our legal skills, time, and resources to organizations and individuals who may otherwise face significant barriers to accessing legal representation.
Pro bono
Our attorneys dedicate time each year to pro bono matters involving individuals, nonprofit organizations, and small community-based enterprises. We prioritize matters where experienced legal counsel can materially affect an individual’s ability to protect a fundamental interest, preserve an organization, or move forward with confidence.
Community engagement
We support community organizations working across Los Angeles in areas including economic opportunity, legal education, and access to justice. Our involvement takes many forms, from direct legal assistance and board service to long-term partnerships with local organizations. We aim to contribute thoughtfully and consistently, rather than treating community engagement as a one-time initiative.
