Daniel Carter is a founding partner of Carter & Vale and a trial lawyer focused on complex commercial litigation. His practice includes shareholder and partnership disputes, breach-of-contract matters, business torts, and high-value real estate litigation. Mr. Carter is known for developing focused litigation strategies in matters involving competing business interests and significant financial exposure.
Before founding Carter & Vale in 2014, he practiced with a leading Los Angeles litigation firm, representing companies and business owners in state and federal courts throughout California. He received his J.D. from UCLA School of Law and his B.A. from the University of Southern California.
Evelyn Vale is a founding partner whose practice centers on complex business disputes, internal investigations, and high-stakes civil litigation. She advises private companies and executives facing sensitive disputes where legal exposure, business continuity, and reputation intersect.
Ms. Vale has represented clients in matters involving fiduciary-duty claims, corporate governance, fraud allegations, and executive disputes. Before establishing Carter & Vale, she served as litigation counsel at a national law firm in Los Angeles. She earned her J.D. from Stanford Law School and her B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley.

Marcus Reed
Senior Associate
Marcus Reed is a senior associate whose practice focuses on commercial litigation, business disputes, and complex civil matters. He works closely with the firm's partners on strategy, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation, with particular experience in disputes involving privately held companies and their owners.
Before joining Carter & Vale, Mr. Reed practiced at a prominent Southern California litigation firm, where he represented businesses in contract, real estate, and partnership disputes. He earned his J.D. from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles and his B.S. from the University of California, San Diego.
